Climbing Day One

After arriving at Częstochowa for Easter, we spent the Saturday afternoon in Olsztyn (the small one, a few kilometers from Częstochowa), climbing on rocks from the Kraków-Częstochowa Jurassic Highland Chain.

A first session around a rock called Biblioteka.

Then a second session on a rock called Dziewica ("the virgin").

Climbing Day Two

We traveled a bit farther along the Jurassic Highland Chain, past Żarki, towards Podlesice, to a group of rocks called Góra Zborów ("mount of the congregations").

Failed Climbing Day Three

We were planning to go somewhere along the Jurassic Highland Chain again on Sunday. Thing is, Saturday came right before, and everybody at the pub until very late in the morning. Somehow Sunday was not spoiled entirely and we managed to take off at around 2pm.

Some of us planned to go and take a look at the Park Liniowy ("line park") that has been set up in Złoty Potok. Some (other) of us planned to end up on the rocks climbing, since the weather was to be the finest. The question as to what activity to choose was quickly resolved since the guys in possession of the climbing equipment simply forgot to bring it.

So we first went to see the very nice mansion, although it seems to be abandoned, called Pałac Raczyńskich ("Raczyński Palace").

After that walk around town, we went for a little lunch break.

At last, we were ready for a little effort, just to burn all those accumulated toxins. Most of us went for a walk up high in the trees.
